Early medieval knife with walnut handle
Beautiful and handy early medieval / Viking utility knife with a sharpened blade forged out of high
carbon steel and a hilt made of walnut wood.
The knife is delivered with a sturdy leather scabbard ornamented with the kind of brass fittings which
were characteristic of the early medieval Germanic knives.
This knife is made of high carbon steel . Carbon steel , consisting of iron and carbon , has a very fine
structure . This makes it possible to make it razor-sharp and it is very durable .
This is why many cooks use it , although it is not food safe . When you use a carbon blade it receives a
protecting patina and a drop food save oil helps too !
