The handle  made is of walnut wood with bone lining .  It has a short blade , the best kind of blade for

a knife made for "all kind of work in an early medieval household"

It is a Damaskus steel knife of good quality , but  of course these prices are for foreign made knifes .

A good German damascus steel knife for example costs between 1000 and 2000 euro minimum .

Many cooks use it , although it is not food safe . When you use a damask steel  blade it receives a

protecting patina and a drop food save oil helps too !
